At The Turquoise Pooch Paw Spa, pets are family. We know that bringing your dog to a groomer can feel stressful, both for you and your pet, and we are here to change that. With locations in Berryville, Harrison, and Holiday Island, Arkansas, along with a mobile grooming unit serving Jasper, Eureka Springs, and nearby communities, our goal is to create an environment where every dog feels safe, understood, and cared for.

Grooming should never be just about appearances. For us, it is about the entire experience. From the moment your dog enters our spa, they are treated with patience, kindness, and respect.

The Fear Free initiative, developed with guidance from veterinary behaviorists and animal welfare specialists, emphasizes that pets need professionals to look after not only their physical wellbeing but also their emotional wellbeing during care (Fear Free LLC). The American Animal Hospital Association similarly reports that traditional handling approaches can unintentionally increase fear, anxiety, and stress in pets, which is why more practices are adopting low stress protocols (AAHA).

The Turquoise Pooch Paw Spa was created to redefine what grooming can be. Tracy Boyd, our founder, has spent a lifetime observing and caring for animals. She noticed that many traditional grooming environments prioritize speed over wellbeing, leaving pets stressed and anxious.

Our name reflects that philosophy. Turquoise has long been associated with protection, calm, and emotional balance, and we aim to bring those qualities into every interaction with the pets in our care.

What Sets Us Apart

Cage Free and Restraint Free. We believe every pet deserves freedom and respect. Our spa does not use cages, muzzles, or restraints during grooming. Pets receive one on one attention without waiting in kennels between steps.

Peace & Quiet, Upgraded. For sound sensitive pups, we use aviation grade ear protection from 4 Paws Aviation to reduce dryer noise during grooming.

Premium Products. We use Melanie Newman Salon Essentials, So Posh, and the Hydra Collection for natural, gentle formulas.

One on One Attention. Each appointment is dedicated to a single pet at a time with no rushing and no crowded spaces.

Mobile Grooming. Our climate controlled mobile unit brings the spa experience directly to your doorstep or trusted community partner locations.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Every new client receives a temperament assessment so our team understands your dog's comfort level with touch, sound, and new environments. We pace the session to your pet, not a production schedule. If your dog needs a break, we pause. If they settle better on the floor than on a table, we adapt.

That flexibility is especially important for rescue pets, senior dogs, and pups with past grooming trauma.
